Melissa Abarzua
Principal Clinical Psychologist

Melissa is a clinical psychologist with experience working with children, adolescents and adults in both private and public sectors. She aims to work collaboratively with her patients and their families to provide them with ways to address and better manage their difficulties and to live a life that is in line with their values.

Melissa holds a special interest in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, school-related difficulties, as well as trauma and stressor-related disorders. She practices using a range of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and elements of schema therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behaviour therapy skills. Melissa is also an accredited Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) clinician.

Having a background in schools, Melissa is also experienced in psychometric assessment of emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties and uses information gained through these assessments to implement systemic support plans.
​
Melissa is also a Board Approved Supervisor that is passionate about supporting and guiding provisional and early career psychologists build their confidence within their clinical skills.
​
Outside of her work, Melissa enjoys spending time with loved ones, swimming in the ocean, reading and listening to music. She particularly loves the way that the saxophone makes her feel - relaxed and grounded.

Bianca Oliva
Registered Psychologist &
Clinical Psychology Registrar
Bianca is a Clinical Psychology Registrar who has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both private practice and inpatient hospital settings. She aims to provide a judgement-free space to collaborate with clients beyond their symptoms and understand where their difficulties stem from on a deeper level.

Bianca’s special interests include Neurodiversity (particularly supporting Autistic folk and ADHDers), anxiety disorders, mood disorders, school-related challenges, and parenting support. She practices using a range of evidence-based modalities, including cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy skills, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Bianca also integrates a variety of frameworks, including trauma-informed practice, family systems and attachment theory, Neurodiversity-affirming practice, and gender-affirming practice.
